Beautiful Lake in United State

Beautiful Lake in United State

Lake George, New York
Lake George checks off all the boxes of what you'd look for in a typical lake retreat -- which is exactly why we love it. Though it's a low-key year-round destination, summer months are most popular, particularly among families traveling the hour from Albany or 45 minutes from Saratoga Springs. Lake-focused activities include rafting, parasailing, and kayaking, and visitors can also golf, go horseback riding, and hike the surrounding Adirondacks.

 Lake Tahoe, California and Nevada
Lake Tahoe reaches its peak tourism during the winter ski season, but in the summer, a smaller -- but equally outdoorsy -- crowd comes for the hiking, fishing, and kayaking. The brave of heart swim in the chilly lake waters, and other fun activities include hot-air ballooning and gondola rides. There are also a few dispersed museums and historic mansions for those seeking a bit of culture during their lakeside getaway.

Lake Placid, New York

Host city of the 1980 Winter Olympics, Lake Placid nonetheless experiences its busiest season in the summer, thanks to leisurely activities such as swimming and boating. But bon't let the name "Lake Placid" fool you; the actual lake is a couple miles away. Instead, the village of Lake Placid lies on the shores of Mirror Lake, where visitors often take out kayaks and canoes.

 Lake Austin, Texas
Part of the Colorado River, Lake Austin is a lovely reservoir in Austin where city dwellers seek relief from the heat in the summer months. It, along with six others, makes up the Highland Lakes, and -- while its main purposes include flood control and power generation -- Lake Austin is also a popular spot for recreation; visitors can fish, boat, and kayak.

Lake Geneva, Wisconsin

The same-named body of water in Europe may be better known, but Wisconsin's Lake Geneva is a lovely place to spend a summer weekend stateside. The birthplace of Dungeons & Dragons (creator E. Gary Gygax was a longtime resident), Lake Geneva is a quiet town with little shops, cute eateries, and of course, lakefront locales. Visitors and residents sail, boat, parasail, golf, and swim during the warmer months.

The important north-south road connection, which passes through the national park area, connects the Croatian inland with the Adriatic coastal region.

Glacier National Park
Glacier National Park is located in the U.S. state of Montana, south from the Canadian borders of Alberta and British Columbia. The park encompasses over 1,000,000 acres (4,000 km2) and includes parts of two mountain ranges (sub-ranges of the Rocky Mountains), over 130 named lakes, more than 1,000 different species of plants and hundreds of species of animals. Why AdSense Revenue Decrease ?

Why AdSense Revenue Decrease ?

1. More ads displayed
Maximum bloggers have believed that displaying more ads help them to generate good CPC (Cost per click) value and lead them to earn more. But this believed is totally wrong and in fact placing more ad units on a web page decreases AdSense revenue.
The reason of this is Google loves those pages which provide more and more information to the user. AdSense bots are very smart and if they find that you are displaying more Ads than providing information to user, they lower down CPC values. Providing maximum relevant information and content can boost your cost per click revenue and it will help you to boost rankings in SERPs as well.
So my suggestion is don’t display too much ads on a web page, I will recommend you to display 3 Ads on single web page and max to max you can show 4 Google Advertisements.

2. Website layout
You will be amazed to know that your adsense income decrement is increasing day by day just because of website design. Your blog’s design layout just sucks which leads you not to make good money from AdSense. Everyone likes to have a wonderful blog design and layout with lots of colour combinations and effects. But this leads to decrease revenue.
When you use a plain layout, especially with white back ground you will be able to find better cpc price in AdSense a/c. Try to use minimum plugins and java scripts in your website, it will reduce page load time that will help to boost income.

3. You don’t use text and images ads
This is one of the common reasons that your adsense revenue is decreasing. Many bloggers like to display images ads because they have strong belief that showing image rich ads will attract end users and they will click on it whereas some bloggers think that displaying only text Ads can lead them to get more clicks on ads. No doubt you may get good number of clicks but what about CPC cost? It will be low always.
The fact that Google likes both text and image rich formats and it recommends publishers to use both text and image rich advertisements on their websites. I also use image and text ads on my blogs which is the reason that I get good CPC values.

4. Smart pricing Issue
Smart pricing issue is very common and it is one of the major reasons that your AdSense earnings get lower down day by day. Maximum publishers aren’t aware about this issue but from today they will be able to remove this issue and increase their earnings from Google’s advertisement program.
As bloggers create new blogs and publish 10-15 articles they start to monetise that blog, even some smart bloggers start to display ads on fresh blog having only 4,5 posts. This money earning greed decreases AdSense income. Not only from new blog but also it leads Google bots to reduce cost per click value on old website as well.
Google loves content rich web pages to display advertisements and give high CPC because advertisers invest big money for good keywords and Google displays good quality articles in SERPs, so it doesn’t like when you start to display ads on low quality content web pages.
I will recommend you not to display ads on a fresh blog until it is having at least 40 quality posts. When you follow this, your adsense revenue will not be decreased.

5. Don’t write catchy titles
All professional bloggers and online marketers even I also suggest people to write catchy articles for blog posts. An article’s catchy title always hooks end user to click on that article whether it is displayed in search results or shared on social networking sites. But do you know that writing attractive title can lead to decrease Google ads revenue?
Well if you don’t know then you must be lacking to enhance your adsense earnings. The reason behind this methodology that when you write catchy title you couldn’t place keyword in title in a proper manner for which the advertiser pays big amount to Google. When a user lands on your page, bots check from which keyword they are landing on your web-page according that keyword CPC value is decided.
So if you want not to decrease your adsense income try to use high cpc value keywords in your titles and try to make it catchy title with the use of proper keyword.

6. Low paying niche
Your website’s niche can be one of the reasons that you are experiencing low AdSense earnings. Blog’s category matters a lot in the increment and decrement of Advertisements income. When you are working on a niche like Blogging, SEO you will not see much high CPC values. It’s reason is simple that bloggers and online marketers will be the audience on your blog and they will not click on ads as they are aware of about advertisements.
So if you want to make money with AdSense program, one must go with website niches like Automobiles, Luxury, home décor etc. Advertisers give handsome money to Google to advertise their business hence Google also pays good revenue for this category sites.

7. Ads placement and size
The placement of ads and advertisement’s size matters a lot in AdSense earnings. Placing ads below fold decreases cpc value but it is not a thumb rule that always placing ads below fold give low income from ads. Majority of bloggers and publishers have shared their experience about it that placing ads above the fold give good revenue from Google ads.
The size of ads also the key point. Google Also recommends 4 ads formats to use on your blog if you want to maximize revenue. If you use any ad unit except 728*90, 336*280, 300*250, 160*600 the earnings will be lower.
So one should display recommended ads on blog and place them properly.

8. Smart placement of first ad unit
Placing ads above always give good CPC cost, but do you know that placing it properly can enhance your AdSense earnings more. All you need is to just do experimenting. One should use recommended ad units at different locations of web page and monitor CPC and CTR in your AdSense account.
For best CPC value, use that ad unit and increase your ads revenue.

Best Homemade Meals For AirTravel

Best Homemade Meals For AirTravel

Peppery Whole Wheat Pasta with Wilted Chard

1 pound whole wheat pasta, like penne or farfalle
1 large onion, diced
8 ounces button mushrooms, sliced
1 bunch chard (about 1 pound), stems removed and diced, leaves cut into ribbons
2 sausage links (8 ounces), sliced (optional)
4 to 5 garlic cloves, minced
3 ounces cream cheese, mascarpone, or other soft creamy cheese
1/2 cup pasta water, saved from cooking pasta
Kosher salt
Freshly cracked black pepper

Cook the pasta in a large amount of boiling water with a good handful of salt. Just before draining, use a measuring cup to dip out about 1/2 cup of the starchy pasta water, and set this aside.

Heat a teaspoon of olive oil in a large skillet or Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add the onion with a pinch of salt and cook until the onion is softened and translucent. Add the mushrooms and another pinch of salt. Cook until the mushrooms have released their liquid, the liquid has boiled away, and the mushrooms are turning golden. Stir in the diced chard stems and the sausage. Cook until the stems are softened and the sausage is warmed through. (If the sausage is not pre-cooked, cook it along with the onions instead.)

Clear a space in the middle of the pan and add the garlic. Cook just until the garlic is fragrant, then stir it into the rest of the vegetables. Lower the heat to medium and stir in the chard leaves. Continue stirring frequently until the leaves are bright green and wilted.

Stir in the cooked pasta and the cream cheese. When the cheese has melted, pour in half of the reserved cooking water to make a creamy sauce. If the sauce seems too thick, pour in the remaining pasta water a little at a time.

Grind the fresh pepper right over the pasta. Don't be shy! Taste as you go to gauge how peppery the pasta has become and how you like it. Season with additional salt, if desired.

Pesto Pasta with Lemon, Spinach, Edamame & Toasted Almonds

8 ounces spaghetti
1/2 cup pesto, store-bought or homemade
8 ounces spinach
2 cups edamame (shelled and shucked; the peas, not entire pods)
Juice from 2 lemons (plus fresh lemon wedges for serving)
3/4 cup almonds, crushed and lightly toasted

Heat a large pot of water to boiling, and cook pasta until al dente. Strain and rinse with cold water.

In a large bowl, combine the pasta, pesto, and spinach, and stir until evenly mixed (some spinach will wilt, some will stay firm — this is a nice contrast of textures). Finally, stir in the edamame and squeeze the lemon all over the finished dish. Reserve a few lemon slices for people to add more if they like. On a low heat, toast crushed almonds until just fragrant. Garnish pasta with the toasted almonds.

Homemade Granola Bars Food For Better Travel

Homemade Granola Bars Food For Better Travel

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups old-fashioned oats
1 cup crispy rice cereal, puffed millet, high-fiber cereal mix (like Kashi Go Lean), crushed pretzel sticks, or any other crispy grain or cereal
1/2 cup chopped nuts, like walnuts, peanuts, almonds, or pecans
1/2 - 1 cup dried fruits like cranberries, raisins, or cherries
1/2 cup brown rice syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 - 1 teaspoon spices, like cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice (optional)
3 tablespoons peanut butter or 1 tablespoon cocoa powder (optional for firmer bars)

Equipment

  1. Large mixing bowl
  2. Spatula
  3. Measuring cups
  4. 8"x8" baking pan
  5. Parchment paper

Instructions
1. Prepare for Baking: Heat the oven to 325°F with a rack in the middle of the oven. Line the baking pan with parchment, leaving extra parchment to hang over the sides. Lightly coat with nonstick cooking spray or butter. If desired, toast the nuts and grains for 10-15 minutes until toasted and fragrant. For softer dried fruit pieces, soak the dried fruit in very hot water for 10 minutes and drain before using.

2. Mix the Dry Ingredients: Mix the oats, cereal, nuts, and dried fruit together in a mixing bowl.

3. Warm the Rice Syrup: Warm the rice syrup for 10-15 seconds in the microwave or in a small saucepan over medium heat. It should be just loose and liquidy enough to pour. Mix in the vanilla extract, salt, spices (if using), and peanut butter or cocoa powder (if using).

4. Stir the Rice Syrup into the Dry Ingredients: Pour the rice syrup over the dry ingredients. Use a spatula to scrape the last of the syrup. Stir the rice syrup into the dry ingredients until the ingredients are completely coated and start to stick together in clumps.

5. Press into the Pan: Pour the mixture into the prepared pan. Use wet or lightly oiled hands to firmly press the mixture into the pan.

6. Bake the Granola Bars: Bake the bars for 20-25 minutes for chewy granola bars or 25-30 minutes for crunchy bars. As soon as you remove the bars from the oven, press them again with the back of a lightly oiled spatula. (This will give you more compacted granola bars.)

7. Cool the Granola Bars: Let the bars cool completely in the pan. They will firm up as they cool. Once cooled, cut into 8 bars in the pan with a very sharp knife, then lift the bars by the flaps of parchment to remove from the pan. Store between layers of wax paper in an airtight container for up to two weeks. To make them easier to slip into back packs and lunch boxes, you can also wrap each bar individually in wax paper or plastic wrap.

Favorite Combinations:
• Pecan Cranberry Bars: 1 1/2 cups oats, 1 1/2 cups crispy rice cereal, 1/2 cup pecan pieces, 1 cup dried cranberries, 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice (Pictured above)

Advantages and Disadvantages of Google Chrome?

Advantages and Disadvantages of Google Chrome?

Google Chrome is remarkably fast. During our timed trials, Chrome initialized our site in 1.5 seconds. That time stayed consistent during subsequent refreshes. Navigation from one site to another ran at a modest 5.3 seconds. That aspect kept it from ranking as the fastest browser.

Google has taken initiative in making Chrome very compatible with the internet. Chrome was specifically designed to quickly and efficiently load, display and interact with the vast array of applications on the web, boasting a built-in Flash and PDF reader. The synchronization between your smartphone and your desktop browser makes saving favorites and making bookmarks a seamless process.

Most internet browsers are built for function over form, but Google Chrome succeeds in both. The layout is clean, intuitive and well organized, and Chrome manages a level of simplicity other internet browsers lack. Its features are clearly designed for efficiency and ease of use, and you can search and navigate from the same box. Furthermore, the browser allows you to conveniently create shortcuts to web applications you regularly use, which you can place on your desktop for quick and easy access.

Launched in 2008, Google Chrome is a free web browser created by Google that uses the WebKit layout engine.  Google Chrome is known for its very simplistic and minimalistic design and touted as the fastest browser out there.  Google Chrome is currently the most widely used web browser with a worldwide usage of approximately 33%.

Here are Advantages and Disadvantages of Google Chrome:

Advantages:

  • Chrome is an extremely fast web browser; it loads and displays pages very quickly.
  • You can drag tabs out into separate windows, without difficulty, and back in again with your mouse.
  • Google Chrome has a very basic, simple design, making it easy to use.
  • The start-up page lists the most frequent pages you’ve visited and allows you to click and access them with ease.
  • Chrome automatically translates pages into a language you understand for your convenience.
  • You can search the internet through your address bar at any time.
  • If a site crashes on one of your tabs, other open tabs will not be affected.
  • You may browse the internet without being logged using Chrome’s new private feature: Incognito.
  • Unlike Firefox and Safari, you can alter the colour and theme of the browser.
  • Chrome is faster than Explorer and FireFox.
  • Chrome takes only seconds to install.
  •  Incognito mode: Click the control icon in the upper right corner of the browser and you'll get the option to open a new tab, a new window, or a new incognito window. Incognito window will fire up without appearing in browser or search history, and it won't leave cookies or any other traces of your activity, except files you've downloaded or bookmarks. Yes, Safari has it, too, but it's a nice jab at Firefox which skipped some similar privacy features in version 3.0.
  • Easy to switch: When you're entering a saturated market with a new product, you can't change everything. You must carefully balance the features you want to blatantly copy with the ones you want to innovate in. I was pleased to see that Google Chrome was built with this in mind; for example, it's easy to switch from Firefox, but it does bring enough novelties to make you stick around. Importing your bookmarks from Firefox is easy and works well; and other details, like keyboard shortcuts, are the same. Therefore, Chrome's learning curve is virtually non-existent; start it up and you'll be browsing as usual in no time.
  • Has its own task manager: Chrome treats tabbed windows as separate processes. Nice, we've already seen that in IE8, right? But Chrome also has a nifty way to see what's going on: a task manager. Similar to the task manager in Windows, it lets you see which processes are active (inside Chrome), and how much memory, CPU, and network resources they use. Beautiful. You can access it by right clicking Chrome's title bar.

Disadvantages:

  • Chrome uses up a lot of memory (RAM) when running it.
  • If you accidentally close the browser, Chrome will close all the tabs opened without warning.

Tourist Attractions in Atlanta

Tourist Attractions in Atlanta

Atlanta Botanical Garden
This garden sits adjacent to Piedmont Park, and has a number of different sections, each highlighting a different region, plant, or animal type. These include a Japanese garden, a rose garden, woodland areas and a children’s garden. One of the main highlights of the botanical garden is the indoor Fuqua Conservatory which hosts a range of tropical, desert and subtropical plants and animals. The nation’s largest orchid collection, tropical birds, turtles and poison dart frogs. For those who are not afraid of heights, the woodland park has a large canopy walk that allows guests to explore the treetops. The botanical garden often hosts art exhibits and other charity events. The most notable of these was a display of the glass work of Dale Chihuly in 2004, and brought half a million guests to the gardens.

Fox Theatre
Originally planned as a Moorish architecture Shrine temple, the Fox Theatre ultimately developed as a lavish movie theater. It later became a performing arts theater, and continues to host the Atlanta Ballet, traveling Broadway events, and some music concerts. The theatre is a draw even for those who aren’t going to see a show, as the combined Egyptian and Islamic architecture creates a spectacle that is worth taking a tour. The theater inside is fashioned like an Arabian courtyard, complete with a twinkling crystal starry sky. There is also a large ballroom designed after the temple of Ramses II, and the mezzanine for the women’s’ restroom has King Tut’s throne and little sphinxes on the makeup tables.

World of Coca-Cola
For anyone who has ever wondered what Coca-Cola tastes like in every nation of the world, this is the place to go. One of the top attractions in Atlanta, a new museum was revamped and relocated in 2007 to house a larger collection of company paraphernalia. Sixty years of jingles, ads dating back to the 1800’s, and a 4-D movie experience are just a few of the things to experience here. One of the biggest draws here is the updated tasting room that not only allows guests to discover the preferred formula versions from different parts of the world, as well as rare local drinks via their customized freestyle machine.

Martin Luther King Jr. Historic Site
This historic site includes several buildings, including the boyhood home of this civil rights leader, as well as the church where his father, and later King himself first came to preach. The firehouse that was once a main community center in the sixties, a civil rights walk of fame, and the “I Have a Dream” international world peace rose garden are also a part of this historic park. Opposite the visitor center, a large mural depicts scenes in Dr. Martin Luther King’s life. The site hosts several large events, particularly during Martin Luther King day and Black History Month.

Centennial Olympic Park
Created for the 1996 Summer Olympics that was hosted in this city, Olympic Park continues to be a tourist draw every year. Located downtown between the Aquarium and the CNN center, the park has several fun features. An interactive fountain of Olympic rings is synchronized with lights, water jets and music. This is surrounded by a collection of the flags of all of the host nations of the previous Olympics. A large, air-conditioned Ferris wheel and large lawn that hosts a summer outdoor concert series are just some of the other features of this historic location of athletic excellence.

Piedmont Park
This park in the Northeastern Atlanta near Midtown began life as an out-of-the-city gentleman’s farm owned by a doctor named Benjamin Walker. It went through a series of owners, ultimately ending up the property of the Piedmont Exposition Company. The park has had several architects of importance working on different parts, most notably Olmstead of Central Park fame, who created many pathways still in use today. It also includes a large basketball complex, and was home of Atlanta’s first team in the early twentieth century. A large fishing lake, playscape, and large lawn that is host to many concerts are just a few of the other offerings here.

what you need to know? Travelling with children with a different surname

what you need to know? Travelling with children with a different surname

A quick nosey at the travel talk boards shows that being stopped at passport control and asked to prove your children are your own is far from uncommon.
If your children have a different surname from you and you're travelling without their father (or vice versa) - or, indeed, you've sent them off for a week with Granny - there's every chance you may be asked to prove their identity.

Why does this happen?
Child protection. The idea is to safe-guard against child abduction and smuggling. Controls are getting tighter, and checks more frequent.

What can I do?
Don't panic. Making enquiries before you travel and bringing extra documents might seem a faff, but will ensure smooth passage. Before you leave you should:
Check with your airline – they deal with this daily and will have their own specific requirements.

Check with your embassy - what applies for British children does not apply for other nationalities, regardless of whether they are travelling into/from the UK.

Check with the relevant embassy for the requirements of country/countries you'll be travelling to/through .

Ensure you have relevant documents: passports (yes, double check), birth certificates and marriage certificates. If you're travelling under your maiden name with children of a different surname, a marriage certificate alongside your passport will 'prove' who you are.

Pack a consent letter (see below).

Should your parenting arrangement have special terms regarding international travel, then double check with a solicitor to ensure you have the relevant supporting documents.

Consent letters: everything you need to know
Travel consent letters demonstrate that the child or children in question have permission to travel abroad from parents or guardians who aren't accompanying them. They're especially useful in situations in which the parents are divorced or separated, and one parent wishes to take the child on holiday. They can also be used by grandparents and other relatives.

They're not a legal requirement in the UK, but can simplify travel for UK nationals, as they may be requested by immigration authorities when entering or leaving a foreign country or when re-entering the UK.

The letter needs to be signed by whomever is NOT travelling.

Getting the letter notarised is recommended, as it's more likely to be accepted as a legal document. You can do this at a local solicitor's for a small charge.

Remember, carrying a consent letter does not guarantee that children will be allowed to enter or leave a country; every country has its own entry and exit requirements. Double-check with the relevant embassies for specifics.
What if I can't reach the father of my children?
If you both share parental responsibility for your children, then you should have his permission before you travel overseas. He will also need yours should the roles be reversed.
You'll need to apply to a court for permission to take a child abroad if you don't have permission from the other people with parental responsibility. A solicitor will be able to help you with this process.

Sadly the father/mother of my child passed away and my child has a different surname from me. What should I do?
Double check with the airline and relevant embassies, but bringing the death certificate with you along with birth certificates and marriage certificates should be enough.

What about foster/adoptive parents?
Take a copy of a court order stating that the accompanying person is the child's lawful custodian or guardian. If the child is in temporary care, take a consent letter signed by the appropriate child welfare agency representative. Again, as ever, double check with the airline and relevant embassies.

UK family holiday destinations

UK family holiday destinations

 Devon

You'll be spoilt for choice if you holiday in Devon. Up t'north you've got the stunning beaches of Woolacombe and Ilfracombe, plus the cobbled streets of Clovelly and the vast expanse of Exmoor to explore, while down south you've the considerable (and varied) attractions of Dartmoor, Plymouth, Exeter, Salcombe and Blackpool Sands. Thankfully, cream teas are served north, south, and indeed everywhere in between.
Mumsnetters say: "We had a great holiday in Devon when our first two were small - we stayed at a caravan park called Ladram Bay which had a nice pool, was right on the beach, and not far from lots of attractions. We went back last year to Ilfracombe which had a great fish and chip shop, lots to do and see, plus wonderful beaches nearby (Woolacombe was my favourite)."
Where to stay: Two self-catering properties within the region have won Mumsnet Best Awards in the last year: Three Gates Farm in Huntsham,  and North Hayne Farm Cottages in Bishops Nymphton.

 Lake District

Don your walking boots and dust off the three-wheeler buggy at the UK's largest national park - just grab a map from the many visitor centres dotted around, and head off exploring. Popular attractions include the Grizedale sculpture trail, a steamer cruise along Ullswater, and a visit to Beatrix Potter's home in Ambleside - 2016 marks the 150th anniversary of her birth so look out for special events. If you're after something a little more strenuous, there's mountain biking, climbing, walking, kayaking and canoeing readily available. Don't forget the Kendal Mint Cake!
Mumsnetters say: "I love the Lake District, and so do my children. We're going on our first foreign holiday in more than 10 years this year, but it was very much booked on the condition that we can manage a week in the Lakes too."

Northumberland

Northumberland has been a Mumsnetter fave for the past few years and we can't see that changing any time soon. The region has something for everyone, and gets rave reviews for its beautiful clean beaches. Bamburgh's imposing castle, dramatically positioned next to the sea, is perfect for imagining 'the olden days' of knights and queens - alternatively, take a boat from Seahouses to the Farne Islands, or drive over the causeway to Holy Island. And don't forget Alnwick Castle, where many scenes in the Harry Potter films were filmed - bliss!
Mumsnetters say: "The Northumberland coast wins for us every time. If you stay in Seahouses you have all the traditional seaside stuff on the doorstep - but we tend to go for a holiday cottage in one of the pretty villages dotted around."
Where to stay: Mumsnet partner Cottages.com has over 350 properties across Northumberland and offers Mumsnetters a discounted rate - find out more.

 Isle of Wight

The Isle of Wight has the considerable bonus of being reached via ferry, and therefore very nearly counting as 'abroad'. Beach lovers get vast stretches of sandy coast, plus rocky beaches ideal for paddling, and the entire island has a lovely old-fashioned feel. There are walking/cycling opportunities galore and a surprisingly good section of nice pubs and restaurants, plus an array of attractions including Blackgang Chine, the Roman Villa, Osborne House and Carisbrook Castle (top tip: consider English Heritage membership if you're planning to visit more than one).
Mumsnetters say: "It's never too busy, has some lovely things to do and see, and great places to eat. Steephill Cove is one of my favourite places in the whole world."
Where to stay: Park Resorts have four parks to choose from: Nodes Point, Thorness Bay (both of which offer glamping options), Lower Hyde and Languard. Or consider self-catering at Mumsnet Best winner Nettlecombe Farm

North Norfolk

North Norfolk is a firm Mumsnetter fave, with gasp-worthy beaches and traditional seaside resorts offering a plethora of quayside seafood and fish and chip opportunities. There are plenty of English Heritage and National Trust properties, too, and adventure parks to boot. Popular spots along the coast include Cromer, Wells-next-the-Sea and Hunstanton. On the whole beaches are very accessible - just be sure to arrive at the car parks before 10.30am in peak summer.
Mumsnetters say: "For a traditional, family seaside holiday, you can't beat Wells-next-the-Sea. It's a bit posh, a bit tacky - in all the right proportions! The beach itself is great for kids; large, sandy with colourful beach huts and a big island of sand dunes."
Where to stay: For a great price on a self-catering break in North Norfolk, check out Mumsnet partner Cottages.com

Yorkshire

Yorkshire's a brilliant bet - it's got Dales and Moors, Peaks, National Parks and a breathtaking coastline. Scarborough is great for young 'uns, with a sea life centre, penny arcades, a family-friendly beach and plenty of parks.
New for 2016: Pack your swimmers and head to Scarborough’s newest attraction, the Alphamare Water Park – a multi-million pound investment scheduled to open at Easter (although do check progress updates before booking) with plenty of slides, a water playground, heated outdoor pool and a spa area.
Mumsnetters say: "If you want seaside, you can't beat Yorkshire. Beautiful coastline. There's Filey for a more traditional, sedate seaside experience - think bucket and spades, fish and chips etc. Then there's Scarborough - still traditional (fish and chips, donkey rides) but a bit more lively with lots of arcades along the seafront."
Where to stay: Mumsnet partner Hoseasons has plenty of parks across Yorkshire with accommodation in mobile homes or lodges - Mumsnetters get a discounted rate too.

Scottish Highlands, Aviemore

Aviemore
"There's nothing to do," said no one on holiday in Aviemore, ever. With wildlife parks, a mountain railway, outdoor adventure parks (think zip wires, quad biking, climbing wall, archery, clay pigeon-shooting, gorge walking, kayaking and more) plus miles and miles of beautiful trails, fishing, grass sledging and an indoor 'fun house'... Aviemore is perfect for an active family break. Frankly we're exhausted just reading about it.
Mumsnetters say: "Don't forget that there is a beach there - it's not unusual to be swimming in the loch in blazing sunshine while overlooked by snow-capped mountains!"
Where to stay: Hoseasons has two parks in the region, offering accommodation and a fantastic range of leisure facilities. We've secured a great discount for Mumsnetters too - find out more.

Pembrokeshire

Pembrokeshire is home to the UK's only coastal national park, so it's a great spot for an active family break - especially if you're taking teenagers with bags of energy. MNers rate Tenby as a top place to stay, with its fantastic beach, National Trust properties, boat trips and a dinosaur park - plus plenty of wet weather options.
Mumsnetters say: "Probably my favourite part of the country is Pembrokeshire - there is so much space on all of the beaches, and so many to choose from."
Where to stay: For a self-catering holiday in the region, Clydey Cottages won a coveted Mumsnet Best Award. Find out why Mumsnetters rate it so highly.

Dorset

If you're holidaying with smallies, then Dorset is a good spot: old fashioned seaside resorts in Weymouth and Swanage, a wide open beach at Studland, fossil hunting on Chesil Beach, plus aquariums, Monkey World and plenty of National Trust and English Heritage properties. You can relive the Enid Blyton books of your youth in Corfe (Blyton regularly visited the area, and the castle is said to be the inspiration for Kirrin Castle). Stop at the pop shop in town for lashings of ginger beer all round.
Mumsnetters say: "We went to Weymouth last year which has a real old fashioned seaside holiday feel. There are even donkey rides on the beach. Lots to see and do in the area - my son is constantly asking to go back."
Where to stay: Hoseasons has 15 different parks available across Dorset, including coast and country retreats, with a discounted rate available for Mumsnetters - find out more.

 Cornwall

A UK holiday round-up which doesn't mention Cornwall? Impossible. A perennial favourite on the Mumsnet Talk boards, Cornwall has breathtaking coastline, family-friendly beaches and attractions like the Eden Project, Lands End, The Minack open-air theatre and St Michael's Mount. For older children there's surfing lessons, while younger kids can pootle on the beach and do some rock pooling. And let's not forget the cream teas, pasties, and ice cream - Cornwall is a foodies' paradise.
Mumsnetters say: "Bude in Cornwall gets our vote. Fabulous wild beaches - or more tame ones if you prefer. Much emptier than other parts of the Cornish coast, and only just over the Devon border so not too far to drive."
Where to stay: Three properties in Cornwall have received a Mumsnet Best Award: Bosinver Farm Cottages in St Austell, Coombe Mill in Bodmin and Tredethick Farm in Lostwithiel. Otherwise, opt for a self-catering stay with Mumsnet partner Cottages.com.

Process of earning money from Google Adsense

Process of earning money from Google Adsense

AdSense is an ad network belonging to Google. It is the biggest ad network in the world and the main service through which Google can display ads on a lot of websites. The secret behind AdSense is its simplicity. As a website owner you just need to sign into your account, create your first ad, and insert the source code on your website. The last one is the trickiest part for non-technical publishers, but still a lot easier than what some other ad networks ask you to do.

At the beginning there was just one way of getting paid with AdSense and this was on a per click basis. This means that you earn money each time a visitor to your site clicks on an ad. It doesn’t matter what he did afterwards on the target website. But before you start thinking about it: When Google figured out that some people tried to raise their payments by clicking on the ads on their own sites, they started penalizing for such behaviour.

click price of Google adsense

How did Google AdSense determine the amount you receive per click? Google also runs AdWords, which is kind of a mirrored service to AdSense. On AdWords advertisers running shops, services, or other marketers create ads and tell Google to publish them on either the Google search engine or in the display network, so all websites belonging to the AdSense network. 68 percent of the amount an advertiser pays per click on their ads on your site is your income. The rest is Google’s commission fee.

This still isn’t all you need to know about how much AdSense pays you. The costs per click are calculated in an auction. Every ad that is somehow in the pool to potentially be displayed on your website takes part in it. In this auction, it isn’t just the highest bidder that wins, but the winner is also determined by his “quality”. Without going deeper at this moment just remember that Google will ultimately run some smart algorithms that try to get the highest income per thousand impressions (return per mille = RPM) for you (and them).

How it works CPM, CPE, CPC

In addition to the cost-per-click (CPC) model, there are two other bid types. Cost-per-thousand-impressions (CPM) is an income model where advertisers pay you a fixed price per thousand ad impressions. No click on them is necessary for you to earn something from AdSense. This bid type only works if advertisers choose on AdWords that ads should be displayed only on your website. Before they can do that you need to ad custom channels. I might cover this in an upcoming article, so you might want to subscribe to the newsletter so as not to miss it.

The most recent bid type is cost-per-engagement (CPE). In this case the advertiser is defining an action the visitor needs to fulfill like expanding the ad, watch a video ad, finishing a poll, etc. This form is so new that the documentation from AdSense doesn’t even mention it. As much as I would like to increase income from AdSense, we will have to see how visitors react to this, because the new engaging ad units might be a bit more jarring than the classical text or image banners.

Know about the best bid type?

You are not able to select the bid type yourself. Google calculates the best income when combining them based on what runs best on your website. If advertisers know about your good reputation and book CPM campaigns on your website, they might outrank your CPC income. If your CPC banners are well placed and your content is written for valuable topics like finances, your CPC might be unreachable. Lets see how the new CPE ad types kick in. The first AdSense accounts I have seen them in look very promising.

Should every one use AdSense?

Once the ad code is inserted in your site, you are ready to earn money with AdSense. In practise, there is just one little problem for most small websites: to earn money with any kind of ad type you need traffic on your website.

This is the point where I normally stop new publishers who ask me for consulting. You are just building your content and reputation, have to fight for every newsletter subscription and the absolute traffic is below 10.000 pageviews a month. In this situation you should consider waiting with ads on your website. They might not only drive potential visitors away, but you also need time to manage and optimize your ads. Are there exceptions? Yes, there are. You will know when you see one.

AdSense earning examples

The answer to how much AdSense finally pays you depends on many variables. Still, the most important is the content on your website. Still, this is not a very specific answer to your question. Neither Google nor most publishers like to publish numbers on how much they earn with AdSense. I also won’t publish my clients’ income reports and their name so blank in this article. Sorry for that.

Still, there are some numbers I found thanks to Peer Wandiger, a German blogger who publishes monthly reports on incomes gathered from various sites. I took the following examples from his review in September 2013.

$50/ 1000 visits

The first impressive number comes from Pat Flynn, the owner of SmartPassiveIncome. In his own September report he stated that his niche site SecurityGuardTrainingHG.com generates $1,466.33 in revenue with 800 to 1,000 visits per day. This is about $48 per 1000 visits and is a very respectable number for such a niche site.

Networks beyond AdSense

A great example of the chance for ad diversity is the income report of pinch of yum. Here, AdSense has the smallest income from an ad network. They seem to be more successful with the use of BlogHerAds. If you are more familiar with AdSense and ready to go a step further, there is probably also an ad network better suited for you.

Also moms-make-money.com earns more from other ad networks and income sources than from AdSense. Still, $272.82 for 158,710, which seems to be page views, is not bad at all considering the fact that you hardly notice the ads from Google.

Some general AdSense benchmarks

Even though I can’t state detailed income reports from my clients, I would like to give you a general benchmark of how much AdSense pays you when you use it on your website. I already summed up the 3 rich media banners you are allowed to use as well as link banners and the Google search on your website. Of course, your income is also highly dependent on the size and placements of the ads, but you will see there is a wide range of income possibility.

$0,25 – $3 RPM for unspecific, generic content

When you are running a forum, social network or directory of non-business information, chances are your AdSense income might not jump over $3 per 1000 page impressions. This is due to either ad blindness of returning visitors or information, that isn’t connected with products and won’t attract visitors eager to buy anything. Even affiliate programs might not really work here.

$1 – $10 RPM for content-rich sites, e.g. blogs

Content-rich sites like blogs should perform better with AdSense. How much AdSense pays does still depend on your niche and how you implement the ads, but a high frequency of new visitors and placement close to the main content will lead to a decent income. If you have a higher amount of traffic you might want to try other ad networks, affiliate programs and split tests.

$10 to a lot more for product-related sites

This is no surprise. If you are running a product-related website, like a blog about products and services, review products or a business directory, your income from AdSense, but also other sources should be the highest. But don’t think you are the first to have this idea

Details about Google Adsense and Make money with Adsense

Details about Google Adsense and Make money with Adsense

Users of Internet are probably aware of Google AdSense but for the sake of keeping beginners up-to-date here is a quick overview about the program and major benefits:

  • It is own by Google
  • It’s a major source of income for Google (On 2012 Q3 earnings from AdSense was $3.13 billion which represents around 27% of Google’s revenue)
  • It is free for publishers
  • Advertisers use the Adwords program to advertise their products or services on AdSense websites. They only pay when someone clicks on their ads (PPC – Pay per click)
  • Publishers receive 68% of the revenue and Google 32%. For example if an advertiser pays $1 for a click then 68 cents will go to the publisher and 32 cents to Google.
  • The cost per click calculation is based on an auction type system
  • It is very easy to use
  • It is the most reliable advertising platform on the Internet  today and can generate the most revenue for publishers (compared to other similar PPC systems)
  • AdSense besides content web sites is also available for games, videos, mobiles and search products.

What do you need to make money with AdSense?

So, AdSense is free, easy to use, you get 68% of the revenue – what else do you need to make money with AdSense?

You need a content rich website

AdSense loves content rich websites. Content can be of any kind (including text, images, videos), provided that it does not violate the AdSense content policies.

It is suggested though to have text on the pages as well so that the AdSense crawler can understand better what the website is about. AdSense is more suitable for websites that publish articles, case studies, how-to guides (like this one), but there are also success stories of other types of websites as well.

You need a high quality website

It’s not enough to publish content that does not violate AdSense content policies but you also need to provide for high quality content on a high quality web site. Google is liable to advertisers for the money the pay so they don’t want their ads to appear on low quality websites. In the past this was possible but the last couple of years they have more strict policies on the type of websites you can run AdSense.

You need a Huge traffic

AdSense is a good way to make money online and it is perhaps the easiest method provided that you have a good amount of quality traffic coming to your website. I cannot give you an exact number because the amount of money you can make depends on the earnings per click (EPC) and click through rate (CTR), but I don’t usually advice my clients to run AdSense on websites that have less than 300-400 unique visits per day.

In general though, the more targeted traffic you have, the more money you can make with AdSense.

You need to target the right keywords

If you target the right keywords in your content then you can make more money with AdSense or with any other advertising platform. What are the right keywords? Keywords that are: (1) used by advertisers to promote their products so the competition is greater and (2) action keywords. Action keywords are more effective since the users are more likely to ‘take action’ i.e. convert after they click.

Let’s look at the following example: Assume that you have 2 websites in the weight loss niche that are running AdSense. Both websites receive the same amount of organic traffic and they have the ads in the same positions. The first one is getting visitors searching for: ‘weight loss tips’, ‘how to lose weight’, ‘lose belly fat’ and the other one is getting traffic from keywords like: ‘why drinking water is important’, ‘what to eat after dinner’, ‘how many meals to eat per day’.

The first website is likely to make more money with AdSense because more advertisers are interested for those keywords so the number of available relevant ads will be greater. Users are also likely to click the ads more often since users looking for tips or solutions to their problem are more likely to click on a relevant ad than users who are searching for general information.

This is also the reason why organic traffic is considered to be more valuable than any other form of traffic i.e. because it is highly targeted and converts better.

You need to fully comply with AdSense policies

As I said above AdSense represents 1/3 of Google’s revenue so they take the whole program very seriously. While it is relatively easy for everyone to get an AdSense account, if you don’t play by their rules 100% you risk losing your account.

Even if you are an existing or new AdSense publisher make sure that you read their policies before implementing AdSense on your website. Remove from your mind any ideas for tricking the system and always remember that they have hired the best people to make sure that nobody will be able to bypass their rules and policies.

You need to have a website with a purpose and not a MFA (made for AdSense) website

While AdSense is a great way to monetize a website, websites that are made for the sole purpose of running AdSense ads are not favorable by Google. I have mentioned this in a previous post: 5 reasons you are not making money online and what is important to understand is that you website or blog needs to have a clear purpose which goes beyond making money with AdSense.

Yes, you can use AdSense to make money from an established blog that has lots of traffic and visitors; you can use AdSense to make some extra money from you website while selling your own products and services as well, but it’s not a very good idea to make a blog and start publishing mediocre content for the sole purpose of getting organic visits and then run AdSense to make money. In the past this model may have worked, but not anymore.

So be careful about the rules and regulation of Google adsense
